StepUP Ministry is a interfaith ministry that seeks to build community. Our position is that when individuals representing diverse backgrounds and life experiences gather to work toward a faithful end, the entire community is strengthened. Therefore this ministry offers the potential for life giving experiences for all involved - participants, volunteers and staff alike.



Volunteer Opportunities

StepUP Ministry needs volunteers and donated items to help program participants. Do you have a desire to help others who have the commitment to become self-sufficient? Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer needs:

  • Mentors for adults and children
  • Office assistance
  • Summer meal preparation and serving for Tuesday night programs (July)
  • Instructors for Life Skills workshops
  • Assistance with children's events
  • Employers who can offer job opportunities
  • Transportation to appointments or job interviews
  • Greeters for Jobs workshops
  • Instructors for Jobs workshops
  • Mock interviewers for Jobs workshops
  • Provide snacks for orientations and workshops
  • Serve food for orientations and workshops
  • Physicians and other medical professionals
  • Guidance counselors

 

Items needed:

  • Clothing for job interviews and those recently released from prison
  • Items for welcome baskets
