StepUp Ministry transforms lives.
- More than 250 families have moved through our transitional housing program into independent housing.
- In the last 12 months, 200 people have been placed in jobs.
- The grade point average of adults in our scholarship program is 3.3.
- In the next 12 months over 500 adults and 125 children will served by this ministry.
The success of the StepUP program requires the support of the broad community – individuals, congregations, corporations, public entities and foundations. Your investment in this program will make the dream of self-sufficiency possible in the lives of those we serve.

Ways of Giving
Cash Gifts may be made online or checks may be sent to: StepUp Ministry, 1701 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608
Recurring Gifts It is often easier for donors to make regular, monthly contributions rather than waiting until year-end to make one, larger contribution. The easiest way to set up a recurring contribution is through the donor’s checking account using on-line billpay. Normally, this is a service provided at no cost by the donor’s bank. Not only is it convenient to set up, it remains under the control of the donor at all times (unlike automated bank drafts). Please call 919-781-0156 x110 with any questions about this way of giving.
Gifts of Appreciated Securities There are often significant tax advantages to donors who are in a position to consider making gifts of appreciated securities in lieu of cash gifts. StepUp has brokerage accounts set up to make such transfers of stock and mutual funds straightforward ad convenient. For further information on how to make such a transfer, call 919-781-0156 x110. All donors are advised to consult their tax professional in order to determine if such a gift best meets their interests.
Estate Gifts All donors are strongly encouraged to create a will if they have not already done so. Proper estate planning maximizes the potential for assets to be used for purposes consistent with the donor’s wishes. In death, as in life, opportunities exist to further God’s kingdom. StepUp Ministry would be honored by your inclusion of this ministry in your estate planning. It is through such gifts that a long-term foundation can be laid for the transformation of lives for generations to come.
Martha Durfee Fund for Children The Martha Durfee Fund for Children’s Ministry was established in 2001 by the family and friends of Martha Bristol Cross Durfee. The annual proceeds of this permanent endowment fund are used to address the academic, social and physical needs of the children in the StepUp program. Those wishing to join the Durfee family in their commitment to children in crisis are encouraged to do so by sending contributions to the Endowment Fund of White Memorial Presbyterian Church (clearly designated for the Martha Durfee Fund), 1704 Oberlin Rd., Raleigh, NC 27608.
